- Burdekin Comunity Action Group Against Crime

- Our group was formed in mid 2008 after several community meetings held about crime in the Ayr district which is also know as the Burdekin this group has a broad spectrum of people from the community one of our aims is to have laws changed to deter re offenders as public perception is a slap on the wrist is enough while the lawless problem is far more involved than just making harsher penalties we know these crimes are committed as end result of no education poor family skills and just plain bad arse people. By the way our town is not all bad but make sure you lock your car lock your house and keep and eye what you own
